A simple definition of stress (or the opposite of calm) is, “physical, mental, or emotional strain or tension.”
A more specific definition says that the opposite of calm is, “a specific response by the body to real or imagined stimulus, such as fear or pain, which disturbs or interferes with the normal physiological equilibrium of an organism.”
When what you wanted to have happen – is not happening, or did not happen – and you are still holding on to how you wanted it to go – and thinking negatively about it – then we have the opposite of calm.
When you are imagining the future, and what you are constantly imagining will happen is different to what you really want to have happen – then we have the opposite of calm.
Hypnotherapy, hypnosis and self-hypnosis provide a pathway for releasing stress, and provide a pathway for engaging Calmer and More Relaxed, free, true “in the moment” experience of life.
