Clinical hypnosis (and learning self-hypnosis) has been used to help people be more relaxed during dentist sessions for decades. Fir a long read, see: https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20220519-does-hypnosis-work
Self-hypnosis is really easy to learn – helping you to be calm and to manage your thinking and angle of approach to when going to the dentist and spending time getting treatment.
Like a plane landing – too steep an angle and you could have a bumpy ride. But get the angles of approach right – and you can enjoy a smooth landing, and a relaxed and relaxing time at the dentist – maybe as relaxed at being by the sea on a warm afternoon, sunlight warming your skin, a gentle breeze, the sound of the waves lapping on the shore.
Fear progressively disappears more and more easily, as a person relaxes more and more deeply.
